  1. It is easy for me to give you what you want because you give me what I need. That thought occurred to me yesterday when I was thinking about how we live and share CT/RT. Would you comment?

  2. It looks to me like the golden rule of relationships! Successful ones anyway!

  3. The way I see it, when we are sitting with a person you care about, even minimally, you are going to want to help them get what they want.

  4. Sometimes people are confused by what they think they want and what they think they need. When what they need is not beign meet because they fail to communicate their needs effectively.

  5. So true, Carmen! People are often confused about what they want. It is possible to conduct a guided self-evaluation and begin to identify what the want is.

  6. Hello all. I think what I want is somewhat fluid. There are constants though such as a shoulder on which to lean, someone with whom to laugh and a girlfriend or two who understands the importance of ice cream in a crisis!

  7. Hey Linda, I believe, based on what I've learned from Choice Theory, our wants are fluid. So, you are right on point with that one! You are also right on point about the ice cream...Cold Stone creamery is the bomb! I am also a Brewsters fan or just plain ole out the box ice cream when things aren't going my way. Let's do lunch or dinner sometime soon???

  8. Gloria, you are so right about the ice cream. I could eat a half gallon all by myself on a Sunday afternoon after washing my car. I don't do that anymore, but I remember the days with fondness. I thought of something else I need always...rest. Tonight I had a 3 hour nap and it was splendid. Here's hoping others are taking time to rest!

  9. Linda, rest is so important! If I don't make it to bed by a certain hour each night the next day feels like it goes on for an eternity. Since March of 2010 I have been taking more time to take care of me. I'm still not doing as well as I would like but like everything else it is a journey.
